Needing a men’s smal speedsuit for alpne ski racing for my son…He is 5 feet 6 in and around 120 lbs. Do you think the green descente suit you have for 199.95 would fit him?
Hi Melissa,
Thanks for your note. Picking out a GS suit is always tough, but I’d say the Descente Provincial in a small should fit him now. If you want something that he can wear as he grows, though, I’d say maybe go with a suit in a mens’ medium. Even though they are supposed to be very snug, if he gets much taller, a small could be restricting. I hope this helps!

Kate
I have an odd body…
With that said, I am looking for bib or suspeners mens ski pants with an inseam of 29 1/2 inches in a large size. Would you happen to know if any brand, perfer yours, that has this odd size.
Thank You,
Jim
Hello,
Spyder does have some pants that have a 29″ inseam, though it is for their size XS pant and the waist is 26″-28″. Brands that make pants in Short sizes include Descente, Spyder, Obermeyer, and North Face. While it may not be the exact length you are looking for, the brands that make short length pants would be the way to go.

Hi Guys,
Interested in a Swiss WC Mens insulated jacket and matching pants. Not sure about sizing though. I’m 6′ 3" and weigh about 96kgs. I take a size 42 shirt and size 36 jeans. In the past I’ve found size Large Spyder jackets are a good fit. I suspect the Descente XL jacket and possibly the 38 Pants are the way to go but as noone sells them where I live I would be grateful for your advice on sizing before ordering.
Cheers
Colin
Hi Colin,
I would suggest exactly the same sizes! With the pants, what’s also nice is that even if they’re slightly large in the waist, you have the ability to adjust the tabs on the side, and you’ve got the suspenders to keep them up. As for the jacket, you want to give yourself enough room to move, and I think the XL will provide that space without being too big. I hope this helps!
Best,
Kate
Hello and thanks for providing his service. I am somewhat confused about the Descente size chart. I’m interested in one of their ski jackets and need some advice before ordering. I have worn a spyder XL jacket for last few years. I typically wear a 44 sport oat and either 36 waist pants or in some cases 38 taken in to a 37 waist in some dress pants. Men’s sizing is starting to get as erratica as women’s! Would I need an XL or what appears on their chart would be an XXL? Do they run smaller than like spyder? Thanks again,
Wayne H
Hey Wayne,
I would recommend going with a Descente Jacket in a 2XL and a pant in a size 38. As a brand Descente tends to be a fairly tailored fit. The jacket will have an athletic cut that will be low-bulk but comfortable. The pants are very adjustable, at a size 38 you should be able to adjust them down comfortably to a size 37 to 36, as needed. While sized a bit different than Spyder, both brands will have a similar feel in their outerwear. I hope this helps!
Regards,
Dru
