Hiked over 10 miles in the BWCA in northern MN this weekend. Shoes worked very well on trails that were already semi-packed. Breaking trail in the 3 ft of snow was almost impossible though. The larger Canadian shoes were much better for that. Straps occassionaly get a little loose, but not a major problem. Overall a good lightwieght shoe for the price.
