It's ultra lightweight, yet it is the strongest material available. The 6000 series grade aluminum frame has a special modified V-tail design which features a raised tail for smoother stride experience specifically for running. Hypalon II decking is high tech material, ultra lightweight, super strong, puncture and abrasion resistant. Cross country bindings are ultra-light and made from Hypalon II with urethane straps which cinch down to any running shoe or light hiking boot for flexibility and large range of motion. The Live-Action hinge lifts the tail of the shoe from the snow with every step for added mobility and speed. As for the nostrils, try a facemask.
