The Joan of Arctic Boots are designed and made with the latest technologies so that you can step out in highly fashionable yet functional footwear. The vulcanized rubber shell means that large amounts of sulfur have been added to keep the shell stiff and inflexible for lasting support and durability. The seams have been sealed and the suede upper is waterproof to keep you warm, comfortable and dry. The felt frost plugs are used under the foot to increase the thermal barrier between you and the cold ground creating additional warmth. There is a removable full length Innerboot that is made up of two layers the first is the wicking polypropylene that pulls moisture away from your feet. The second is an insulating blend of polypropylene with recycled polyester that traps the warm air surrounding your feet. Plus the seam and heel areas have been reinforced for durability while the front shaft ensures a comfortable fit as well as sealing out the cold air but can easily be worn with your favorite pair of jeans or after a long day on the slopes. I wear a size 7 and ordered a size 7 and they fit perfectly. I have worn them numerous times in the cold northeast, snowy weather. They are so warm and comfortable. I get compiment after compliment every time they are on my feet. I tend not to self indulge... these seemed a litte expensive to me at first, but I am so glad I decided to purchase them. They are so well made and will probably last forever. I highly recommend these boots. You are worth it!.. and/or they would make a fantastic present!!
